  • Fantastic face painting for the kids all weekend was available in return for a small donation to our chosen charity. Children were able to have their face painted by our professional face painters in whatever way they desired – hopefully it wasn’t too scary!

  • Scalextric
  • Did you choose from the rapid Porsche racing series or maybe a four wheel drive rally prepared Subaru? The Mini Coopers are quick around the track, or how about a Dodge Viper for raw power down the straights?
Whichever car you chose, the result depended on your reactions and nerve as you negotiated the hairpin corners then opened up the throttle to blitz down the straights and past the pit lane to register your lap time.
Drivers could have as many races as they liked to find the car that suited their style and work their way up the Leaderboard. The winner was simply the fastest driver of the day.

Racing

  • RACING ACTION AT CONVOY IN THE PARK
  • RACING ACTION AT CONVOY IN THE PARK- Truck racing formed the centrepiece of the on-track action at Convoy in the Park, with a British Truck Racing round taking place across the weekend that saw multiple races in each division.
Racing at speeds of up to 100mph, the trucks made for an impressive sight as they hurtled around the track. With reverse grids used as part of the racing format, there were plenty of front-runners charging through the field, leading to plenty of overtaking action!
In addition, there was a full programme of support races – from single seaters to saloons – throughout both days.

  • British Truck Racing
  • Five-tonne racing trucks, capable of accelerating to 100 mph as rapidly as a Porsche 911, taking part in a minimum of six races over the weekend. A thrilling reverse-grid format ensures plenty of overtaking!

  • Pickup Truck Racing Championship
  • These silhouette machines provide action reminiscent of NASCAR Trucks from the other side of the Atlantic.

  • Legends cars Championship
  • These American-style hot rods are renowned for providing some of the closest racing in British motor racing. With reverse grids and evenly matched machines, the top drivers have to overtake plenty of rivals to succeed.

  • Britcar Endurance Championship
  • Britcar is open to a wide-ranging selection of machines.

  • Renault UK Clio Cup Junior
  • Renault UK’s new Junior racing championship for drivers aged 14 to 17 uses its current UK Clio Cup race car, as raced on the BTCC package. The winner receives a prize worth almost £18,000 to assist with career advancement.

  • 2CV Championship
  • A quirky championship for a French motoring icon. The Citroen 2CV offers wannabe races an inexpensive option to build their own car and race on a level playing field.
